WorkPlace Stress

Stress at work is hard.

Work in general is stressful, every work is a little bit stressful but when the stress gets too much then that isn’t healthy.

You can get stressed at work for so many different reasons. This can be from not getting on with co-workers, having stressful work that you are doing, being treated unfairly due to your mental health or because of another reason, having to keep your mental health a secret from your colleagues or your boss, and also if you have taken time off work due to your mental health and you are due to go back to work.

To overcome workplace stress can be easy or hard depending on what is stressing you. If you have taken on too much work and that is stressing you out then some time off work may help you or even reducing your workload a little to become more manageable by talking to your boss. If you are being treated unfairly due to your mental health then this is discrimination and you can take action towards your employer to resolve this. You can do this by taking legal action, please get details from this website Mind.

Top Five Favourite Musicals

Hamilton – I love Hamilton. I first stumbled upon it because it became popular on Tumblr. There were sooo many gifs and fanart of Hamilton and I was obsessed. Then I heard the music which is incredible, I was hooked on a musical I’ve never seen.¬† I loved everything I had heard about Hamilton, I love Lin Manuel Miranda’s music as well. It sure perfect and special.

Legally Blonde – I love Legally Blonde it was the first musical I went to see and it will always have a special place in my heart. My friend from school was obsessed with this musical and made me watch the films and also watch the musical on Youtube. I went to see a local show of Legally Blonde and it was the best thing I’d ever done. I went to the show with a friend who has been in theatre before and we had so much fun and I enjoyed the show so much. It shows that you can be a woman who’s girly and loves pink and still be a badass no matter what other people think of you.

Little Shop of Horrors – I love Little Shop of Horrors. It was something a very close friend of mine and I used to watch when we were 12 and it was a much happier time for us both then. It reminds me of happier times in my life. As well as this it is a very funny musical with brilliant actors in it.

Rocky Horror Picture Show – I love this musical because it sort of introduced me to musicals as a whole. It also showed me that musicals can be so much more than how they are portrayed in films and seen as very girly. It went against what I thought was the norm and I loved every second of it. Plus who doesn’t love Tim Curry and Richard O’Brien.

Hairspray – I love Hairspray because it’s anti racism and brilliant. The lead is plus sized and female which I find so refreshing. It really spoke to me when I was younger because it taught me about the 60s (roughly but it still did a little as there were real issues in it) and as well as that it shows the underdog and love can conquer hatred and bigotry.

To My Dying Grandad

Hello,

I want you to know that you don’t need to be afraid or scared. I also want you to know that we all love you very much. I know that you’re in a lot of pain right now and you keep forgetting where you are but you’re home surrounded by the people who care about you. Granny is there and although she doesn’t know what to do to help because she can’t and she gets frustrated she does love you very much. We’re all dealing with this in different ways so people keep acting differently and worrying and arguing but you don’t need to worry about that. Nothing is your fault. Everyone will keep their happy thoughts with them when things get tough and when you pass we will be able to look back on all the good times.

I know you don’t believe in Heaven or any type of afterlife and I know that you’re scared your life will end and there will be nothing but you need to have faith and let yourself go. You can’t hang on any longer. This is painful for everyone involved and it will continue to be painful for us for a long time. Watching you deteriorate is something I wish I never had to see but also something that I will never have to see again. Watching you slowly become less like yourself and become someone who basically sleeps all the time and struggles to even drink is so heart breaking to see. Especially as only a month ago you were telling us that when you got better you would cook Christmas dinner. It’s heart breaking because you might not make it to Christmas and you definitely won’t get better and you know this. Every time you ask it breaks my heart because I know you will never get better and this is the end.

I wish I could take away your pain. I wish I could comfort you and stop you from being so scared. I wish I could help in some way one last time before you go but I know I can’t do any of those things. All I can do is count myself lucky for all the time I got to spend with you even if we didn’t always see eye to eye and we didn’t always like each other. The last five years have been hard but we have had a stronger bond as a result and I am so thankful for that second chance.

Thank you for being in my life and I hope your suffering doesn’t last too long.

I will always think of you fondly and of all the good times.

Your Granddaughter.

‘You should go kill yourself’

‘Sorry…..

……You will be’

‘It’s getting pretty late’ (the tone and situation)

‘Are you over your anxiety now?’

‘She must be on her period’

‘But you’re not really ill are you’
